DC challenge
The Daring cardmakers challenge this week is to 'Use images, use colour, use embellishments that make you feel cold and remind you of winter.'
So here is my card
The backing papers are by Marie Johnstone, which are then layered onto matt silver cardstock. The snowman is diecut with my cuttlebug and then watercoloured with my whisper pens and the boddy glittered up. The snowflakes are die cut with my cuttlebug from white glitter card and then stuck onto acetate to give them a 3d motion effect.
hope you like it

Tutorial Diamond top Card
Firstly take an A4 piece of card stock and fold it length ways down the centre. I then trimmed the card so that it was 20cm's wide (10cm's either side of fold).

Wedding card
This card took me a lot of time to think about. I wanted something special for my OH's niece who gets married in a month. I didn't want anything too fussy, but wanted it to be special.

Cute Card Thursday #16
It's been a while since i have done any challenges on the blogs, but today decided to have a go again.
The challenge on Cute Card Thursday this week is not to use any patterned paper. So Out came the cuttlebug and my scrap pieces of card. I used the Sugar nellie Lola with flowers coloured with pearly watercolours from The Works (great price @ £2.99 for 12 colours). The sentiment is a stamp from the Dovecraft 99p range

Male card
I find it very difficult to come up with idea's for mens cards and with my Brother in laws birthday coming up i need to think. Luckily I had just bought the Dovecraft masculine papers so thought i would have a play with them and this is what i came up with. The wording I made in psp and then printed onto the spotty paper and then stuck this onto card before cutting out and then inking the edges with a copper ink

Getting back on track
Finally i seem to be getting back on track with my crafting and have had a good stint at making cards, although still not back into doing the challenges but I will probably get back into that soon too.
This is a card i have made for my sister in law. The stamped image is one I had sent to me so don't know the make of it and i just used scraps for the rest of it. I seem to have got my inspiration back from going through all my scraps as my scrap box was growing and i hate to waste anything. I've still got a lot of scraps to go through so will see what I can come up with for my cards in the next week

A card for my daughter
It's my eldest Daughters Birthday next month so I decided to have a go at her card early in case i wasn't happy with the results and needed to make another. I used a penny black image coloured with my whisper pens, backing paper is Dovecraft Retro Floral. I decided i was very happy with the result so don't have to make a stash of cards to choose from as i normally do

Recent cards
I have been really busy over the past couple of days completing some orders .
This first one is done on parchment for a wedding. Firstly I wanted to print the sentiment onto the parchment it'self but getting the type in the right place wasn't easy so I ended up placing the picture in GCF first typing the sentiment around it and the deleting the picture befor printing. I think the result turned out really well although it was really time consuming and there is no way i could charge the amount i should have because of the time and effort it took, as this was for a friend and i never charge her the full amount. Maybe i should, but she is one of the very few customers i have.
The next 2 are for my daughters friends 18th birthday. I always find special Birthdays very hard to do making sure it is approriate for the person. I just hope she likes them when she recieves them. I have a few more cards to get done now but these are personal family cards, and just one more for my neighbour. At least i am kept busy if not rich from my hobby

ooh la la ribbons
I made this card for the challenge on Ooh la la.
we would like you all to be creative with ribbons. It may be that you put bows on your card or use a ribbon to make a fancy border. You may even want to do some ribbon weaving - the choice is yours.
The backing paper is dovecraft charcoal print, and the mirror is made using the dovecraft mirrors designer template. The ribbon is a lovely velvet ribbon also from dovecraft. Infact everything i have used bar the mirror card, little black bow and sentiment is from the Trimcraft goodie bag that i recieved as a runners up prize on the trimcraft monthly prize draw.

Brown, Orange, Green
Hi everyone. I know i haven't posted or done any challenges in a while but i have so many card orders that i have had to concentrate on them to get them done and out the door.
But finally it's my time again and i thought i wouold start this by doing the blog candy challenge on Bearly Mine Crafts. Donna's challenge 'I'm really into brown, orange and green right now, so I'm setting a card challenge for you to make a card using those colors and also using flowers.'
Here is my card and it really doesn't take much explaining, but it has given me the chance to use my new silk flowers that i bought on Friday. As you can see i have done some doodling on the papers which seems to be my theme at the moment. The sentiment is from the 99p selection of stamps from studio G.

Girls Just wanna have fun
Cute card thursday's #7 challenge this week is Girls just wanna have fun.
I printed of a Dottie image and coloured her with a micture of solid ink and watercolour.. The backing papers and glitter on the design so gives it a bit of bling. A ribbon was added through some eyelets and 3 gems at the top added a bit more bling.

Ismaki #16
Here is my take on the ismaki #16 sketch.
The option is to use 4 colour-coordinated patterned papers.
The papers i have used I got from Nikki so not sure of the manufacturer. the stamp is Dungaree Maggie from bootiful stampz, coloured with my water colour pencils. The sentiment and proverb i printed on the computer.
