CPS 82

Here is My take on this weeks CPS sketch. I embossed some stockings from the dovecraft 99p range of stamps.backing paper from, redhotbed and ribbons from my stash

Crafting Morning

On Monday morning a crafty friend of mine Sandra and I decided to get together and have a go at one of the challenges in blogland and see what we could come up with.
We chose Penny black Saturday challenge to play with and here is the card I made.

The main backing paper I made using my whisper brush markers scribbled onto a piece of acetate. Another peice of acetate was placed on top and then rubbed together to mix the inks. paper was then placed between the sheets of acetate and rubbed down to transfer the ink. The brown spotty paper is dovecraft masculine. The image is from Penny blacks 'Bubbly' range. I coloured this with my whisper pens and koi brush. Due to the card stock i used the colours started to bleed which was annoying at first but then I decided i really liked the effect it gave.
Check out Sandra's blog to see how her challenge card came out, once she has uploaded it lol.

I decided to use up some of my stash that was free on some of the magazines that i buy and this is what I came up with. I love the pastel colour of it.

Back from my hols and back to posting

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't posted for a while but i have been on my hols in Devon. But i am now back and ready to start new projects.
On Cupcake Craft challenges this week they are running an ATC Challenge. There is no particular theme for this so i found it difficult in choosing which atc to use as i have made a good range of them recently, but I eventually chose this one. The photo doesn't really do it justice as it is decoupaged and looks really good in real life.
Hope you like it

Well as you all may be seeing i have changed the look of my blog again. Talk about being stressed, well nothing went right for me as blogger seemed to be playing up a bit for me so everything i tried went wrong. mainly with my new sig that i had made in psp. Finally after a couple of hours of playing i think i have finally got it sorted. So much for a crafting afternoon, that's gone out of the window now. But never mind will do my crafting tomorrowPhotobucket

Blog Candy at A Card for Life

Just to let you know Debbie at A card for Life has some great blog candy up for grabs to celebrate her first designs being made into stamps. Check it out here.

Dottie ready for a party

Here is the card that I have made for my daughters friend. It will be her 4th birthday so thought the Dottie Fairy would be appropriate. The backing papers and sentiment are from the crafters companions Girls CD. Dottie is coloured with pearly water colour paints that i bought from The Works. I love these paints and they are soooo much cheaper than H2O's, just wish there was a larger selection of colours. The letters for her name have been printed out and then clear embossed to give them a 3d effect.

my prize from Trimcraft

If you have read my earlier post on 'thank you teacher' Than you will have read that i was a finalist in Trimcrafts July competition. Well I am proud to announce that i won, and here is my prize. It's a selection of the Dovecraft pet's range and it's lovely. Now just got to ge some idea's on what i am going to do with it

A Christmas Carol

The Challenge on Papertake weekly this week is to ma a Christmas card. No special instructions.
I decided to have a go at making one of these slide cards, and i like it so much i may just make some more.
I have used the penny black christmas critters stamp for this, coloured with watercolour pencils and highlighted with sakura clear stardust. i can't remember where the backing paper is from as its some scraps left over from last year.

Advent calender

I was inspired after looking through websites to make this Advent calendar. I found the idea on Make the moments last. They have some great projects to try. Now just got to find somewhere to store it safe until December so that it doesn't get damaged.
