Getting back on track

Finally i seem to be getting back on track with my crafting and have had a good stint at making cards, although still not back into doing the challenges but I will probably get back into that soon too.
This is a card i have made for my sister in law. The stamped image is one I had sent to me so don't know the make of it and i just used scraps for the rest of it. I seem to have got my inspiration back from going through all my scraps as my scrap box was growing and i hate to waste anything. I've still got a lot of scraps to go through so will see what I can come up with for my cards in the next week

A card for my daughter

It's my eldest Daughters Birthday next month so I decided to have a go at her card early in case i wasn't happy with the results and needed to make another. I used a penny black image coloured with my whisper pens, backing paper is Dovecraft Retro Floral. I decided i was very happy with the result so don't have to make a stash of cards to choose from as i normally do

Recent cards

I have been really busy over the past couple of days completing some orders .

This first one is done on parchment for a wedding. Firstly I wanted to print the sentiment onto the parchment it'self but getting the type in the right place wasn't easy so I ended up placing the picture in GCF first typing the sentiment around it and the deleting the picture befor printing. I think the result turned out really well although it was really time consuming and there is no way i could charge the amount i should have because of the time and effort it took, as this was for a friend and i never charge her the full amount. Maybe i should, but she is one of the very few customers i have.

The next 2 are for my daughters friends 18th birthday. I always find special Birthdays very hard to do making sure it is approriate for the person. I just hope she likes them when she recieves them. I have a few more cards to get done now but these are personal family cards, and just one more for my neighbour. At least i am kept busy if not rich from my hobby

ooh la la ribbons

I made this card for the challenge on Ooh la la.
we would like you all to be creative with ribbons. It may be that you put bows on your card or use a ribbon to make a fancy border. You may even want to do some ribbon weaving - the choice is yours.
The backing paper is dovecraft charcoal print, and the mirror is made using the dovecraft mirrors designer template. The ribbon is a lovely velvet ribbon also from dovecraft. Infact everything i have used bar the mirror card, little black bow and sentiment is from the Trimcraft goodie bag that i recieved as a runners up prize on the trimcraft monthly prize draw.

Brown, Orange, Green

Hi everyone. I know i haven't posted or done any challenges in a while but i have so many card orders that i have had to concentrate on them to get them done and out the door.
But finally it's my time again and i thought i wouold start this by doing the blog candy challenge on Bearly Mine Crafts. Donna's challenge 'I'm really into brown, orange and green right now, so I'm setting a card challenge for you to make a card using those colors and also using flowers.'

Here is my card and it really doesn't take much explaining, but it has given me the chance to use my new silk flowers that i bought on Friday. As you can see i have done some doodling on the papers which seems to be my theme at the moment. The sentiment is from the 99p selection of stamps from studio G.

Girls Just wanna have fun

Cute card thursday's #7 challenge this week is Girls just wanna have fun.
I printed of a Dottie image and coloured her with a micture of solid ink and watercolour.. The backing papers and glitter on the design so gives it a bit of bling. A ribbon was added through some eyelets and 3 gems at the top added a bit more bling.

Ismaki #16

Here is my take on the ismaki #16 sketch.
The option is to use 4 colour-coordinated patterned papers.
The papers i have used I got from Nikki so not sure of the manufacturer. the stamp is Dungaree Maggie from bootiful stampz, coloured with my water colour pencils. The sentiment and proverb i printed on the computer.

Birthday Girl

A friend of my daughters has askd me to make a birthday card for a one year old girl. I always seem to find this a difficult age to make for as they are not really babies anymore and they are too young as such to have a favourite that you can use as a theme. In the end i just searche through all my images and papers to find something suitable and this is what i cam up with. The backing paper is a lovely patchwork velum that i had in my stash, which I backed with a pink card stock with brads. The letters and the number i printed off my computer an coloured with my sakura stardust pens as a wash to give a suttle shimmer of glitter. The little bear image is Party bear from the bears all year collection by Gina Jane Johnson. It's then finished off with a ribbon and i think it has turned out ok. I hope my daughters friend likes it, as i had very little information of what they wanted

Sketch this #47

Sketch this have just added their new sketch. They have merged sketch this and sketch this card into one so one sketch will cover both LO's and cards.

This is what i have come up with for this sketch. The backing papers are out of my scrap box and this stamped image is one that was sent to me by Nikki which i have coloured using my water colour pencils. i backed the image onto some mulberry paper and finished the card off with some ribbon

Birthday Boy

Here is the card I have made for this weeks Papertake Weekly Challenge. It is based on Katharina's Sketch #2. The Image is a stamp that was sent to me by Nikki and as i haven't many cards for boys i thought i would put it to good use. I choose bright orange and yellow as my colour scheme to try and brighten up my day a little, and I love the way it has turned out

On a Roll

Here's another card for tonight. I'm definitely on a roll. This one is for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge. The Theme for the challenge is 'It's a Mans World'. As i'm trying to build up my stock of fathers day cards, I thought that i would use this as starting point.
Backing paper from my stash, Holographic papers is then layered with mulberry paper and then George, by louly and coloured with water colour pencils is added. Sentiment is hand written.

2nd card of the day

After a craft drought of over a week, I have finally the the bug again today and here is my second card of the day.
Using the CPS sketch #61 I used a number of backing papers from my stash. I stamped out all the images with my whispers stamps and coloured them using whispers strokes.
