Here's another card for today. I'm going through my stamped images and mag freebies sorting out for a good clearout and that's what I have been using all of today. And I can tell you I have a pile of the stuff lol. Really need to make more use of them instead of starting afresh every time.

This weeks challenge on DCM is 'Bright'. Clashy is good, hot colours are good, anything super duper bright is good too. I didn't realise how hard this was going to be, but it took me ages searching through all my stash to find some nice bright colours. But I finally succeded and her is the end result.

Ribbons : Sama sticky ribbons and small orange ribbon from a freebie from a magazine.
Centre Flower made from funky foam run through cuttlebug with flower die. Gems finish it off to bive it some bright bling.
This photo just doesn't do it justice as it is really super bright in real life. I haven't added a sentiment as yet as not sure what I want it to be for.

Here is my card for Lili of the valley challenge Enchanted. Not sure I like the card now it's finished. I love the papers and the image but found the image really difficult to colour.

I had fun tonight making this card. I started off looking at Cute card Thursdays challenge which is Buttons and Bows. Then I needed a colour scheme. I was looking at Kristina's blog and she has her colour inspiration challenge. The colours are blue, green, yellow and red. Hmmm took me a while to find the right colours here to make it, I really had to search through my stash. Then I needed a layout and I had just been looking at WOJ challenge blog. I can't enter there because I don't possess any WOJ stamps at the moment which is a real shame because i love them, but i also loved the sketch this week so I thought to myself whats the harm in using it.
So here is my card that I finally made.

Oh haven't I been a busy girl today. Here is another card and this time for the Dottie's World challenge.
The Theme this week is Love is... So I decided as I was on a roll with my christmas cards I would use the Dottie and George christmas collection. I have 3D'd the christmas tree up to givwe it a bit of depth and added lots of glittery bits with my sakura clear stardust pen (what would I ever do without it). The backing paper is Dovecraft winter wonderland.

Yet another card for 2 challenges. The sketch is 2 sketches for you, Bonus sketch and on PTW we have a choice of 2 challenges Firsts - first birthday, Christmas, anniversary etc OR No Stamping! - embellishments, papers, die cuts, paper folding, stitching, encaustic, doodling? etc etc.
I chose to go with the First anniversary card.
Now on this card I played about with a few techniques. First I scored my cardstock with 3 lines to mimic the sketch. I then puched out a circle and cut out a scalloped edged strip from brown cs and using my brilliance Lightning Black inkpad i inked up them up. this gave them a lovely hammered copper look. I stammped the sentiment and hand painted the swirl in the same in and allso brushed the edges of some more brown cs to matt the top layer onto. The glass image from mary hughs was stammed in the same ink and then embossed with clear embossing powder. I then filled this all in with crystal laquer to make them look like glass.

Here I am again working 2 challenges into one. The sketch is 2 Sketches for You Laura's sketch 10. And on Ooh-la-la creations challenge this week the challenge is Shabby Chic.
For this card I used Cream carstock and distressed the edges with Color Box copper ink. I used a Cream mulberry paper for the background distessing the edges with my whispers brown marker. The flowers are distressed with my whispers too. K& Co paper is paper pricked and faux stitched and antique lookin lace finishes it off
A Spoonful of Sugar's challenge this week is to use the colour scheme of pink and green. I love these colours together so I thought I would have a go. And looking through my stamped images I found this one sent to me in a RAK that i had already coloured with my pearly watercolours.
The papers are a mixture of freebies from magazines and papers sent in a RAK. Ribbon from my stash bow fixed with a lovely silver flower brad. Green and pink square gems finish it off with a bit of bling
Ok well again I have done one card for 2 challenges. The sketch is CPS 85 and on Funky Fairys challenge #36 is to make something from the free set of Halloween papers they are providing.

Well yesterday was another crafty day with my friend Sandra. This week we decided to do one of the projects from Making Cards Creative Christmas Magazine. We chose the slider card to have a play with and here is my card.
I use my stamps from the PB christmas critters as I really love these and thought that they fit perfectly with the theme. I made the background by masking of the bottom bit with some scrap paper and then chalking the skyline. I then stamped some snowflakes on the sky with versamark and glittered (it's a shame but you can't see it in the photo). The snow area is also glittered. The snowball is a 2.5cm circle punch.
While I was making this I reallised that it fits with the Mothers and Daughters challenge, which is a pop-up card, or a card with movable parts.
Caardvarks this week are offering the mini score-it board as the prize. and the challenge is to Create a ***NEW*** item that incorporates scoring in a special technique. Anything goes for this one --- you can enter a card (of course!), layout, mini book, or any other type of papercrafting project that uses scoring as a fundamental element of the project.
I would love one of the score it boards so thought that i just have to enter this challenge, and here is my card that i have made with scores.
I decided to keep it as neutral as possible so that the images didn't overpower the scoring. Both the stamped images, from Dovecraft have been stamped with colorbox inks and then heat embossed with clear glitter embossing powder.
I really love this card as it is so simple, so i think later today i might just make a batch of them.

This is my take on Ceals sketch this week.
Backing papers are scraps that i found in my Stash. Image Tilda coloured with watercolour pencils. And flowers stamped from a See D set. Sentiment is from Woodware smal sentiments set.The last challenge on Kaboodle was nto use some free download papers but i missed it and never got chance to use the lovely pink design. So this week I decided to have a go at using the papers using this weeks sketch. It's not my usual style of card but i think it turned out ok.

Stamped image: sent to me in a RAK. Rubbed over with chalks to give it a muted pink look and edges inks to distress them a little.
Lace Ribbon and flowers. Sent to me in a swap on Trimcraft. The flowers have been inked to distress them.
Sentiment is a peel off that i don't normally use but it seemed to work well with this card
